Since 1975 worked in following positions: Head of Geology Department, Mosul University, Dean of Science College, Mosul University, Vice President in Mosul University, Acting President in Mosul University, President in Mustansiriya University, also had a Visiting Professor Position in various universities in Europe, Canada and Brazil

Presently working as a Professor of Environment in Ajman University of Science & Technology.

Ajman University of Science & Technology Network (AUST Network) was founded by H.H. Dr. Saeed Abdullah Salman, Ex-Minister of Education, Ex-Minister of Housing, Ex-Minister of Agriculture, Ex-President of the Al Ain University (now renamed into Emirate University) to be a distinguished institution for higher education in the UAE and the Arab world. It started as a University College in 1988 and soon become a University and then a University Network with four campuses (2 in Ajman, 1 in Al Ain, 1 in Fujairah and 1 in Abu Dhabi) and a sister university in Valencia, Spain (the Mediterranean University of Science & Technology). It has faculties for Computer Science and Engineering, Education & Basic Science, Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Business Administration, Foreign Languages, Engineering, Dentistry, Info Mass Communication. The AUST Network now (early 2005) comprises more than 16000 students, many of them from Oman and Iran.

This significant achievement is actually the fruit of the comprehensive three-dimensional vision (Education, Information & Investment) and the educational philosophy adopted by the University Network.
