Studies:
  • 1987 Architecture degree at the Architecture Faculty of the Politecnico in Milan, specialization on design and theory of architecture.

Career:
Since 1993 office of architecture in Lecco, Italy and since 2000 in Hamburg, Germany. Several architectural designs and realisations in Italy and other countries. Winner of the „Carlo Mollino-Price“and of „A.N.D.I.L. Assolaterizi-Price“.

The main focus of the architectural activity is on urban design, on new design in historic context, on high-tech and tall buildings, on dwelling buildings as well as on public buildings and spaces.

1989 – 2000 Teaching activity at the ETH Zürich, Switzerland

Teaching and design collaboration with Professor Alberto Campo Baeza, Eduardo Souto de Moura and Professor Mario Campi in Switzerland.

Since 2001 Member of the „Tessenow Gesellschaft“and since 2002 member of „Comitato permanente degli scienziati italiani nel mondo“(Permanent Committee of the Italian Scientist in the World).

Since October 2000 Professor for Urban Design at the TUHH – Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg, Germany.

Prof. Paolo Fusi leads together with Stefanie Ammann Fusi the architectural office Fusi & Ammann Architekten with its headquarters in Hamburg. The architectural office develops the architectural and urban design projects inside the Ammann IBA Group which opened a Branch in Dubai in 2004. The Ammann IBA Group has the unlimited building licence and collaborates in partnership with the firm New Line of the family Al Serkal. The Ammann IBA Group is actually involved in the design and realisation of some tall and special buildings in Dubai.
