Salah Ibrahim Sharaf is a 29 years old Emirati national and son of Ibrahim Sharaf, the founder and owner of the Sharaf Group. In 1994 he passed a two months apprenticeship with Senator Lines in Bremen before he started the same year his studies at the Boston University. In the shipping sector the Sharaf Group is presently setting up the shipowner company Emarat Shipping, who has ordered 13 break bulk carriers from Japan, which will subsequently be mostly time-chartered to Norwegian charterers. A German Partner of the Sharaf Group is Senator Lines of Bremen, who are calling once a week at Khorfakkan, U.A.E. with a 2000 TEU container vessel and once a week with one container vessel each in Khorfakkan and Dubai / Jebel Ali, on which Senator Lines have a slot charter.
